Joey Logano was able to hold off a late race charge from Brian Scott to gain his second victory of the 2016 Season and an automatic entry into the second round.

Joey Logano really took charge after Brad Keselowski's engine expired after Brad waited to long to get the trash off of his grill. Along with Keselowski, Martin Truex Jr. also blew his engine very early in the race which means both Brad Keselowski and Martin Truex Jr. will not move on to the next round of the chase. That is a combined eight regular season victories between those two drivers who will now have to wait until next season to gain the Championship. Joining them will be Chase Elliott who needed to win and Austin Dillon who lost the transfer spot by a slim margin on the track to Denny Hamlin.
Joey Logano was able to gain the victory while Brian Scott was able to finish second, Denny Hamlin finished 3rd by just a small margin while Kurt Busch finished 4th and Ricky Stenhouse Jr. helped round out the Top-5.
Moving to the next round will be Race Winner Joey Logano, Denny Hamlin, Kurt Busch, Kevin Harvick, Jimmie Johnson, Matt Kenseth, Carl Edwards, and Kyle Busch. There is much controversy and irritation amongst the fans with Matt Kenseth, Carl Edwards, and Kyle Busch basically "Sandbagging the Field" because it wasn't needed but NASCAR Noted this afternoon that those three drivers didn't fail to follow the 100% Rule.

The Motorsports News Source Driver of the Week

Joey Logano was able to overcome an early race problem taking a Jack around the Talladega Superspeedway making that Jack the fastest Jack on the planet. Logano stayed in contention a majority of the day even with the Jack issue. Joey Logano took his second straight victory in the Fall race at the Talladega Superspeedway and he will be one of the eight drivers who will advance onto Martinsville. The victory will certainly start a string of momentum for the #22 car, could this be the season that Joey Logano finally puts it all together and gain his first career Championship? Congratulations to Joey Logano for winning both the Hellmann's 500 and The Motorsports News Source Driver of the Week!
