With Hurricane, now tropical storm Hermine hitting the coast, NASCAR decided to cancel today's on track activities due to the heavy rains and winds. With that cancelling practices for both the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and NASCAR Xfinity Series, NASCAR decided to go ahead and cancel qualifying to add more practice times for teams. Michael McDowell's victory last weekend helped gain the RCR #2 Team the pole position this weekend as the #2 looks to win 3 weeks in a row with 3 different drivers. Paul Menard will lead them to green with Denny Hamlin starting second. Elliott Sadler, Ryan Blaney, and Daniel Suarez will round out the Top-5 starting spots.
