The Motorsports Group wasn't supposed to make it this far. With the new Charter system teams like The Motorsports Group weren't supposed to make it this far as in racing every weekend. Gaining speed and knowledge as time goes by, Josh Wise and The Motorsports Group are looking to show they matter just as much as the team with a charter. To some a successful season would consist of winning some races and gaining some Top-10 finishes the other weekends but to Josh Wise and TMG making the race is a success. Making 24 of the 28 races ran, Josh Wise hasn't made such a big splash on the great finishes but for a team without a charter, they have out performed some of the top names some weeks. As the team enters the final stretch of the 2016 Season there is really only one concern facing TMG and that is Talladega in a few weeks. If the team can make that race they have a shot at doing some great things. Teams like Hillman Racing, Circle Sport Leavine Family Racing, Premium Motorsports, along with many other underfunded teams have made statements at tracks like these and I don't see why Josh Wise can't be the next. In fact, Josh's best career finish came last season at Talladega where he finished 10th. Wise could not only be a Chase spoiler but could also be a Charter Spoiler. Wise will look to get by in the rest of the races in 2016 and he could make a statement that could lead him to a higher ride or help his team further their way on the totem pole for 2017. It could also net them enough money to possibly purchase a charter for 2017, as a few could be available. (Koelle,2016)
