Statement Victory for Erik Jones as Xfinity Chase Field Set

Erik Jones was able to capitalize on a late race restart to take the lead from Elliott Sadler and hold off a hard charging Kyle Larson to win his 6th career NASCAR Xfinity Series Victory and 4th victory of 2016. Kyle Larson was able to hold on and finish second while Elliott Sadler, Daniel Suarez, and Justin Allgaier rounded out the Top-5. With Erik Jones winning both Ryan Sieg and Blake Koch were able to hold their points in check and make the chase giving us our 12 driver chase grid heading into next weekend's race at Kentucky. Erik Jones also made himself the favorite heading into the Chase with his victory and stepping one step closer to winning the second part of NASCAR's Triple Crown.

Things get real now. 12 Drivers will enter with a chance at winning the championship. Championships cannot be won from this race but they can surely be lost. It can also send you into a must win situation as time ticks and unless your name is Unlike the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series we don't have any feuds and possibly won't the whole time unless Ty Dillon gets into someone. Cup regulars could make things interesting. Ryan Blaney is currently the only cup driver entered.
