Poole Continues Consistency in 2016 at Darlington

Brennan Poole continued his run of consistency this weekend in the VFW Sports Clips 200 at Darlington Raceway with a fifth place finish. Poole has really shown he belongs in the NASCAR Xfinity Series this season after having a dismal 2015 driving for Chip Ganassi. A best finish of 9th last season and that finish was enough to land Brennan Poole in CGR's sole full time ride, the #48. In his first race this season Brennan Poole has had more Top 10's than he had previously in his career in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. This season, with the new chase, consistency will be what wins the championship and that is just what Brennan Poole has been doing since the beginning of the season. Week after week, Brennan Poole continues to impress drivers and it was shown here this weekend at Darlington. Brennan Poole started 11th and by lap 74 he was in 10th. Poole fought harder and harder for his chase spot which was on the line. By lap 111, Brennan sat in 6th place and was ready to kick some butt and chew bubble gum. Poole made a shotgun run into the Top 5 where he would finish at the end of the race. It would be Pooles' 3rd Top-5 in 2016 and would also solidify him in the NASCAR Xfinity Series Chase as Poole clinched his first run for the championship as he will be one of the 12 in this year's chase joining Brendan Gaughan and Darrell Wallace Jr. (Koelle,2016)
