After a crash on Friday Night in Chicagoland, Tommy Joe Martins was relegated to a 24th place finish after running in the Top-15 a majority of the night.
This weekend, Martins heads to New Hampshire for the first time in his NASCAR career. This Saturday afternoon will be Martins 20th start in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series start. His best finish came at Michigan earlier this season where he finished 15th. It will be his 33rd start in NASCAR and ARCA Racing Competition.
Despite having a few bumps in the road this season, Tommy Joe Martins has been a driver worth talking about on TV with him running in the Top-20 every weekend, which for most isn't a big deal. To Tommy Joe Martins and his team it is a big deal and it's consistency you don't see very often in an underfunded team. Tommy has only finished worse that 26th four out of the fourteen races he's ran this season and considering two of those were in wrecks that were not his fault and the others were mechanical issues that is impressive. Tommy will look to rebound from his Chicagoland finish and gain another Top-15 this weekend at the Magic Mile in Loudon and start a train of consistency from here to Homestead. (Koelle,2016)
