Before the trucks went to battle in Canada, The NASCAR Pinty's Series had the spotlight and Kevin Lacroix remained in that Spotlight throughout the race by leading 29 of the races 51 laps. Lacroix was able to hold off two time CTMP winner LP Dumoulin who gained his 4th podium finish in 2016. Cayden Lapcevich finished 3rd and added to his points lead now to 30 points over Andrew Ranger who finished 21st due to an engine expiration on lap 23. Robin Buck and defending race winner Jason Hathaway rounded out the top five. Gary Klutt finished sixth, followed by Peter Klutt, D.J. Kennington, Kerry Micks and Brett Taylor. Lacroix moved up to third, eight points behind Ranger. Lacroix is three points ahead of Dumoulin and eight in front of Tagliani. The NASCAR Pinty’s Series returns to action in two weeks for the St.-Eustache 250 at Autodrome St-Eustache. With only two races to go in the Season, Lapcevich needs to just stay consistent while Andrew Ranger, LP Dumoulin, and Alex Tagliani need Cayden to make a mistake and each driver will need to capitalize in that mistake.
