The NASCAR K&N Pro Series Needs an Overhaul

With many of the NASCAR K&N Series drivers showing up in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and NASCAR Xfinity Series, many of these very talented drivers aren't being noticed for what they have done or are currently doing in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East or West because in most cases they are in Underfunded rides and the regular media doesn't give those teams the attention. While in Iowa for the Xfinity Series race I watched and covered the K&N Pro Series race that had a combination of drivers from the East series and West series and it leaves me to think of how I haven't heard of some of these guys. This series is just like ARCA in some cases with it either being shown weeks after it was raced or live on some channel no one has and that brings another issue. Below I will document some of the issues faced in the K&N Pro Series and how showing them live on television would help.

I was talking with Chad Finchum, a fellow Tennessean who won at Bristol in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East Pitt Lite 125 earlier this season about his struggles of remaining in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series and remaining in a ride and he stated that his biggest issues is sponsorship. That is an issue that I know very well about in my days of searching for sponsorship for multiple ARCA Racing Series and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series drivers. Sponsors don't want to sponsor something that won't be live on television until either the week after or etc. and certainly don't want to sponsor a car in a race that has little to no fans in the stands.

The reason there's little to no fans in the stands is because no one is honestly interested in watching the series because they are not aware of what these drivers are trying to do. These drivers are trying their hardest to make their name known and if you ask me the Xfinity Series isn't where names are made. Its the K&N Pro Series. You have drivers like Chris Eggleston, Chad Finchum, Noah Gragson, Todd Gilliland, Julia Landauer, Jesse Iwuji, along with many other very talented drivers who by the time they make it to the Xfinity Series the next big thing has already jumped over them and they go forgotten then land in the ARCA Racing Series for the rest of their career, not that that's a bad thing but these drivers want more.
These drivers are the future of NASCAR and without the fans seeing that, these drivers won't be known as The Kid who raced his way through the ranks of NASCAR all the way to the top, Instead fans view some of these kids as the spoiled brats who never had to work a day in their lives to get that ride their in now and they don't notice these kids were just as big in the K&N Pro Series as they will be in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, NASCAR Xfinity Series, and NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. Fans would have a better idea of who to cheer for when their favorite driver retires like Dale Earnhardt Jr., Tony Stewart, etc. (Koelle,2016)
