Sam Hornish Jr. Wins Mid-Ohio Pole!

Sam Hornish Jr. won his 8th career Xfinity Series pole, his first since Mid-Ohio in 2014. Road Course Ringer Owen Kelly qualified 2nd, his 2nd career front row start in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. Ryan Blaney, the only cup regular in the field, qualified 3rd. Elliott Sadler and Daniel Suarez rounded out the Top 5. Hornish beat Michael McDowell's track record set back in 2013. McDowell of course will return to the Xfinity Series in 2 weeks at Road America in the same car Hornish won the pole in this afternoon. With rain in the forcast tomorrow we could see rain tires and the two drivers who would like to see that would have to be Andy Lally and Brendan Gaughan.
