LaJoie Gains first Top-10 at Bristol

In his Bristol Motor Speedway debut, Corey LaJoie put on a heck of a show for the fans in the stands. Driving in the JGL Young Guns program, Corey qualified in the 20th place and stayed within the Top-20 throughout the race. During the race LaJoie didn't fall any further than 23rd. Corey was able to survive the chaos between Daniel Suarez and Erik Jones during the caution at lap 245. At lap 255 Corey was able to push his way up to the Top-15. At lap 306, a restart during NASCAR Overtime set up a shootout for Corey to take all he could grab and that was just what he did. When the checkered flag fell, Corey crossed the line at lap 308 in the 10th position. In just his 12th start, Corey gained his first career Top-10 and best career finish. (Koelle,2016)
