With the announcement coming last Sunday about Erik Jones driving for Furniture Row Racing in 2017 but many questioned on if this deal would go further than 2017 or if it would come to an end at the end of 2017 and Furniture Row Racing Team Owner Barney Visser stated that he is "fairly certain" Erik Jones will leave FRM at the end of 2017 and what many are expecting is that he will replace either Matt Kenseth or Denny Hamlin, who both could be retiring soon. Kenseth is currently the 3rd oldest driver in the series, Stewart is 2nd and Greg Biffle is the oldest and with age creeping in on the Veteran retirement could be soon. Denny Hamlin could retire soon with the back issues he has faced over the last few years. Only time will tell on where Erik Jones lands in 2018. If Jones leaves FRM I could see Daniel Suarez in Cup in 2018. (Koelle,2016)
