Spencer Boyd to Make NASCAR Xfinity Series Debut at Iowa

Spencer Boyd will pilot the wheel of the #25 Wick Buildings/Lilly Trucking Chevrolet Camaro for Rick Ware Racing this weekend at Iowa in his NASCAR Xfinity Series Debut.
The St. Louis, MO native made his NASCAR Camping World Truck Series debut at Martinsville earlier this year where he finished 28th. Boyd also raced at his home track at Gateway for Jay Robinson in the #49 Wilkerson Automotive Chevrolet Silverado where he finished a career best 19th.
“Gateway was such a great experience not only for me, but for my sponsors and family too,” Boyd added. “It was a total team effort. I learned a lot at Gateway. Hopefully, I’m able to take some of what I learned there and apply it to Iowa Saturday night.”
Despite never competing at Iowa Speedway before, Boyd says he’ll stay focused during practice and even turn to the NASCAR K&N Pro Series race run on Friday night for additional input. We wish Spencer the best in his NXS Debut this weekend! (Koelle,2016; In part from Driver Release)
