Jeff Gordon Could Race at Indianapolis

Hendrick Motorsports General Manager Doug Duchardt announced this morning that if Dale Earnhardt Jr. is not cleared to race in next weekend's Crown Royal Presents the Combat Wounded Coalition 400 at the Brickyard then Jeff Gordon will come out of retirement to race the #88. Jeff Gordon will only race if Dale Earnhardt Jr, is not cleared to race. This decision should come around Wednesday A decision will be made around Wednesday next week.; Earnhardt, Jr. will need approval from a independent, board-certified neurologist before he is allowed to return. If a driver is needed after Indianapolis we predict it will be announced sometime after Indianapolis possibly on the Wednesday before Pocono. (Koelle,2016)
