In a chaotic race filled with crashes and tire issues one driver kept his car clean and all four tires on the ground, with air in them, and it landed him in his best career finish in just 12 starts. That driver would be Jeffrey Earnhardt.
Jeffrey has had an up and down 2016 with this race at Kentucky being at the pinnacle of his season. Earnhardt was able to keep all four fenders in-tact and was able to grab a 28th place finish. On top of his best career finish, Jeffrey was able to be the Rookie Of The Race at Kentucky ahead of his other competitors Chase Elliott and Ryan Blaney. (Koelle,2016)
