A Signature for a Donation; Dumoulin Compétition raises funds for the Quebec Cancer Foundation

Trois-Rivières (Québec, Canada), July 7, 2016 – The weekend spent at ICAR circuit also marked the beginning of an original fundraiser for the Quebec Cancer Foundation. Throughout the whole season, the Dumoulin Brothers are inviting fans to sign their car for the cause at each race of the NASCAR Pinty’s series, schedule on page 5. Next fall, the Dumoulin Compétition crew will become waiters for one night only for a happy hour meet-up during which the signed trunks of each car will be put up for auction. All funds raised will be donated to the Quebec Cancer Foundation.

”When André Beauchesne talked to us about it, it was a given that we would do it, and we’re very happy to be associated with the Quebec Cancer Foundation,” explain the Dumoulin brothers. “We wish to raise awareness in the population, as working together as a team, much like in racing, is always a winning combination,” adds Louis-Philippe Dumoulin.

The fan response on site was immediate last weekend (ICAR circuit, July 2-3), and the trunks of both cars have been colored with signatures and words of encouragement for a grand total of $850.00. Each $100 milestone allows someone to benefit from a night at the Foundation.

“It went really well last weekend, people were very engaged, it was fun to see them sign the car trunks with such enthusiasm. It’s a cause that we really take to heart, as cancer affected us deeply in the family. It’s a disease that can appear at any age. Being powerless and seeing people we love be affected is very hard. The Quebec Cancer Foundation has values that we share, and we must do anything we can to help people get through these difficult times,” share Jean-François and Louis-Philippe Dumoulin.

“The foundation is very proud to be associated with Dumoulin Compétition,” mentions the director of the Quebec Cancer foundation in Mauricie, Luce Girard. In exchange of a donation, people are encouraged to sign the cars of these motorsport ambassadors. Representatives of the Quebec Cancer Foundation will be present at the Trois-Rivières Grand Prix, as well as at Autodrome Ste-Eustache.

For more than 35 years, the Foundation continues its engagement towards the women and men affected by cancer, as well as their loved ones by offering services that meet their needs. Whether it’s psychological support, programs for physical well-being, information services, or shelter near treatment centers, notably in Trois-Rivières, the Foundation makes their well-being a priority during these difficult times.

It is with the same generosity and enthusiasm that the partners featured on the cars have accepted to join the cause. THANK YOU to each of you.

Sign the car of your choice and come romp with us!
