Logano Continues Six Year Streak With Pole at Michigan!

With his first pole of 2016, Joey Logano kept his streak of poles going. Joey Logano has won at least one pole since 2010 where he won his first career pole at Bristol. Logano turned a lap 36.080 around Michigan with a speed of 199 mph. Martin Truex Jr. will start second. Tony Stewart who will be retiring at the end of 2016 qualified a season best of 3rd. Denny Hamlin, Ryan Blaney, Ryan Newman, Kyle Larson, Austin Dillon, Kyle Busch, Chase Elliott, Carl Edwards, and Ricky Stenhouse Jr. rounded out the Top 12. Notables outside the Top 12 include Dale Earnhardt Jr. who qualified 27th and Kevin Harvick who qualified 29th.
