McDowell Seeks to Continue Improvement in Longest Race of Year

In 2016 Michael McDowell has shown improvement from his 2015 results and this weekend we're expecting nothing different. McDowell has made a total of 13 starts at the Charlotte Motor Speedway, 4 with Leavine Family Racing. McDowell has an average finish of 31st at Charlotte and an average start of 29th. McDowell has shown he's a threats at tracks like Talladega and Daytona and will surely be a threat on the Road Courses here in a few weeks. McDowell will have a special paint scheme this weekend and will honor PFC Andrew Mark Krippner of the United States Army with his name on the window band. McDowell will look to better his best finish as he did the last time we raced at Dover where he finished 20th. A career best at Dover and his 2nd best finish of the season. McDowell finished 15th at Daytona and 21st at Talladega. McDowell will look to better a 15th place finish on Sunday and gain some
momentum heading into the summer swing of the season which includes some of McDowells best races. Daytona in July, where he finished a career best 7th in the 2014 Coke Zero 400, Sonoma, Watkins Glen, and Bristol. McDowell could gain momentum and push himself further into points and maybe get a best career finish in not only the points but could land in Victory Lane at Sonoma, Daytona, Bristol, Watkins Glen, or Talladega and state his claim for a full time ride in 2017. With McDowell's confidence and
will to drive this car to the best of his ability, good things could be coming for this #95 team! (Koelle,2016)
