McDowell Makes Gains from 2015 at Kansas

Michael McDowell raced in the GoBowling.com 400 at Kansas Speedway this weekend and improvement was shown. In 2015 the Glendale Arizona native started 31st and this year McDowell started 30th a one spot gain from 2015. Throughout the race McDowell looked to gain the lucky dog position and progress in the field. McDowell worked hard as he normally does and worked his way up to a 28th place finish which was up 8 spots from his 2016 finish which was a 36th. “The team made some progress tonight and we are looking to make more gains at future 1.5-mile tracks,” said Dave Winston, the crew chief for the #95 Chevrolet SS. “We have some good stuff to build on and I’m looking forward to taking our learnings to Charlotte Motor Speedway later this month.”
McDowell will now head to a track he has not raced at since 2013, McDowell will be behind the wheel of the #95 Chevrolet SS this weekend at the Dover International Speedway. McDowell's best qualifying effort at Dover  was a 31st in 2013, his best finish is a 30th in 2008. McDowell will look to continue his gains on the track! (Koelle,2016)
