Matt Kenseth Survives Chaos in Dover for First Win of 2016 Season

In a rather wild race at Dover, Matt Kenseth's string of Bad luck finally came to an end and he finally took a victory in Dover cashing his ticket into the chase in 2016. Kenseth held off a late race young gun charge from Chase Elliott and Kyle Larson to cash his first win of 2016. A massive 18 car crash took out contenders like Martin Truex Jr., Kevin Harvick, along with a few others. Kyle Larson held onto second, Chase Elliott, Kasey Kahne, Kurt Busch, Brad Keselowski, Denny Hamlin, Ryan Blaney, Martin Truex Jr., and Trevor Bayne rounded out the Top 10, There was an 11 minute red flag for track cleanup with 46 laps to go. On a restart, Jimmie Johnson was leading but the car stuck in gear, causing Martin Truex Jr. to run into the back of him. The rest of the field, coming up to speed, piled into one another blocking the track. 18 cars were involved.

Over the 2016 Season, Matt Kenseth has seen every angle of bad luck possible to man. Leading at Daytona coming to the checkered flag but getting shuffled back, Getting a Black and White Cross Flag at Atlanta along with many other bad luck situations. Today Kenseth took advantage of numerous opportunities and held off hard chargers of  Chase Elliott and Kyle Larson to finally have some good luck on his side. An excellent race for the #20 Team which awards them their first Driver Of The Week Honors!
