LP Dumoulin Fought Tirelessly

On the starting grid in fifth place, everything was lined up for the #47 WeatherTech Canada / Groupe Bellemare team to have a strong on-track performance. Louis-Philippe Dumoulin has used strategy throughout the weekend to compensate for the mechanical problem of the braking system. Even though the multiple pit stops have relegated the car to the tail end of the pack, Louis-Philippe Dumoulin showed up in the top-5 at the end of the race. In the last corner of the final lap, a competitor made him to go into a tailspin and lose his place, causing him to end up crossing the finish line in twelfth place.

“This last May, we haven’t had the opportunity to test the car’s on-track behavior enough due to rain. The problem with the brake pedal was not fixed, and there was hydraulic loss which we had to compensate for throughout the race with pit stops to manage oil levels in the braking system. At the end of the race, I was only using the front brakes,” explains the driver of the #47 WeatherTech Canada / Groupe Bellemare car.

The #47 WeatherTech Canada / Groupe Bellemare team has done an excellent job through the whole weekend in order to ensure they earned as many points as possible for the championship. “Now we have to concentrate on the next race,” adds Louis-Philippe Dumoulin.
