Lazier Looks for Fame Once Again

20 years ago Buddy Lazier won the Indianapolis 500 driving for Ron Hemelgarn. 20 years later Buddy will look to do what he has done 8 times before in his career and that is to go to victory lane in the Verizon Indycar Series. In a race that take some drivers many attempts to win, Buddy did it in his first try. In 1996, Buddy led 43 laps en-route to his first and only Indianapolis 500 and his second career victory. In 2016 Buddy Lazier will drive the #4 Entry for Lazier Partners Racing. Buddy will look to the past and will certainly be one of the favorites as being a defending winner of the Indy 500 joining Juan Pablo Montoya, Hélio Castroneves, Scott Dixon, Tony Kanaan, and Ryan Hunter-Reay. If Buddy can win next Sunday's Indianapolis 500 he will join a group that consists of Tommy Milton, Bill Vukovich, Rodger Ward, Gordon Johncock, Emerson Fittipaldi, Al Unser, Jr., Arie Luyendyk, Dan Wheldon, and Juan Pablo Montoya. We wish Lazier the best in his pursuit for his second Indianapolis 500 victory! (Koelle,2016)
