A Race Marked By Efficiency and Consistency For Jean-Francois Dumoulin

Bowmanville (Ontario, Canada), May 23, 2016 – Behind the wheel of the Dodge #04 Spectra Premium/ Bernier Crépeau / Groupe Bellemare / MIA, Jean-François Dumoulin has demonstrated the potential of both his car and himself yesterday, showing his full array of skills as a racer on the Canadian Motorsport Park’s circuit in Bowmanville, Ontario. Jean-François Dumoulin has maintained his place in the top-3 for several laps, registering the
second best time and crossing the finish line in sixth place.

After its good performance in Saturday morning’s trials, the #04 Spectra Premium/ Bernier Crépeau / Groupe Bellemare / MIA team had high hopes for the qualifications. As Jean-François Dumoulin was heading towards his best lap time, the #59 car had engine issues in the stretch ahead of him, forcing Jean-François to slow down and rank in ninth.

It was a high-octane event, punctuated by five cautions which Jean-François Dumoulin was able to skillfully sneak by.

“I’m very happy with the race. Robin McCluskey and the team have worked endlessly to increase the car’s performance, and it paid dividends. The second gear had issues after the first pit stop, and we still managed to stay in third place for several laps regardless. Over the second restart, the rain certainly didn’t help and we fell behind a few places. Finishing in sixth for the first race of the season is nice, and we’ll be back strong for ICAR,” explains the driver of the #04 Dodge Spectra Premium / Bernier Crépeau / Groupe Bellemare / MIA.

Jean-François Dumoulin and the #04 Spectra Premium / Bernier Crépeau / Groupe Bellemare/ MIA team will be back on track this upcoming July 3rd on the ICAR circuit(Mirabel, Québec).

The race will be broadcast on TSN on Sunday, May 29 at noon, on Tuesday, May 31 at 4 PM and midnight, as well as on RDS2 on Sunday, June 12 at 11 PM, and on Tuesday, June 14 at 4:30 PM. (Dumoulin Competition)
