Tyler McQuarrie joins Lira Motorsports for Salem

Lira Motorsports is happy to announce that Safecraft will be on board of the machines of Tyler McQuarrie and Sheldon Creed at Salem Speedway for the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards Kentuckiana Ford Dealers 200 on April 24.

Champion Formula Drift driver, Tyler McQuarrie, will be joining the Lira Motorsports team in the No. 59 Ford Fusion. He has a deep history in motorsports that ranges from karts to stock cars to sports cars.

“I’m so excited about this opportunity with Lira Motorsports. It’s a great team to work with and our 59 machine is fast. It means so much to me that they would give me the opportunity to hop behind the wheel of a stock car once again,” McQuarrie said.

Running at Salem won’t be McQuarrie’s first time behind the wheel of a full-bodied stock car. He has experience in the NASCAR Southwest Series, a late model racing series, against the likes of Kevin Harvick, David Gilliland, Boris Said, and various others.

“It means a lot to the team to bring along a driver with such a diverse and successful background in motorsports,” Lira Motorsports owner Carlos Lira said. “It’s exciting for us to allow him to get back behind the wheel of a stock car.”

It was announced earlier this week that Safecraft would be on the hood of the No. 38 Ford Fusion for Sheldon Creed for the remainder of the ARCA Racing Series schedule. It was originally thought that Creed was to run around five or six races with the team, but it worked out that he could run the entire schedule.

“I just want to thank Safecraft and Carlos Lira for coming on board and really helping to put this deal together to run the rest of the season,” Creed said. “My team and I couldn’t be more ready for Salem, and we are stoked for the rest of the season.”(Lira Motorsports Press Release)
