Tony Stewart to Return at Richmond

Tony Stewart revealed this morning on Twitter that he was medically cleared to return to competition beginning this weekend at Richmond. Stewart was involved in a non racing Off Road Vehicle crash during the off season and has missed every race since Homestead of last season. 2016 is still supposedly Stewart's last season before he retires. Tony Stewart is returning to racing where he won his first race all the way back in 1999. Stewart has since won 47 races and could make 50 career wins before he calls it quits. That will be just what NASCAR will order Tony to do before he can qualify for this seasons chase. NASCAR Granted Tony a medical waiver much like they did Kyle Busch last season. Tony will need to win a race and make the Top-30 in points before he becomes eligible. As we have seen before It can be done. We welcome Smoke back to NASCAR and wish him the best of luck!
