The Road To Talladega - Part I

As the Sun Rose on Talladega Superspeedway this morning it is officially race week. Many teams return to their shops in Charlotte and prepare the car they will send to the Talladega Superspeedway. For 1 team in each series that is racing at Talladega that car will be the winning car. Rather it be a high money team with a big name behind the wheel or a underfunded team who has a never heard of behind the wheel who, by the end of the weekend will be heard of. Drivers look to Talladega for success. Dale Earnhardt Jr. looks forward to
returning to Talladega because of the fact that each year he's always the fan favorite. But what if one year someone pointed out teams who work twice as hard with twice as little as Dale Earnhardt Jr, who shouldn't be overlooked. Drivers like Michael McDowell, Josh Wise, Michael Waltrip, Joey Gase, Ryan Sieg, and one person in particular that we will be with this weekend. Derrike Cope. Derrike Cope of course won the Daytona 500 in 1990. It's the underfunded teams who make us have the underdogs to cheer for. In many cases Talladega and Daytona are their only chance of taking a victory and that is what The NASCAR News Source will highlight these teams and their pursuit to Happiness and for 3 drivers, the ultimate prize of a win!
