Stats are Just Numbers - Richmond Edition

As the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and the NASCAR Xfinity Series heads to Richmond both minds will not be set on Richmond but on the beast that will come next weekend in Alabama. First though we have to go through the first planned day race at Richmond in many years. One driver will be able to take a break next weekend after winning at Richmond and that will sure as heck will be a relief. Richmond has some repeat winners and I expect to see someone who has won this race will win again but hey Stats are just Numbers.

Interesting Fact - The race was first held during the inaugural season for the Xfinity Series in 1982, as a 150 lap event. The race was removed from the schedule after 1984. It returned to the series starting in 1990 as a 200 lap race. It was expanded to 250 lap distance in 1994. In 2016 as part of an overhauling of the Richmond spring race weekend, including the new Dash4Cash format, the total of 210-laps and will have two 35-lap heat races and a 140-lap feature.
