Sparks Energy to Sponsor Gase at Talladega

Sparks Energy Inc., an electrical operations and restoration company based out of Danville, Alabama, will sponsor Joey Gase and the No. 52 Jimmy Means Racing Chevrolet for the upcoming NASCAR XFINITY Series race at Talladega Superspeedway on April 30.
Standing as the entitlement sponsor for the Sparks Energy 300 at Talladega, the company will sign on with Gase for a one-race deal. “I am very excited to be teaming up with Sparks Energy for the Sparks Energy 300!” Said Gase “Sparks Energy is a great company that loves the sport of racing and I am very thankful for the opportunity”.
Since 2007, Sparks Energy Inc. has provided services on high voltage power lines and industrial systems across the United States with a focus in transmission and distribution. They have restored power for families and businesses across the country for more than a decade.
Gase has a strong dose of momentum once they head into the 2.66-mile track as they are hot off a career-best fifth-place effort one year ago at Talladega. One of the factors that play into plate racing in NASCAR is the heightened level of opportunity for smaller teams. This applies for Joey Gase and Jimmy Means Racing as they were able to keep their legendary No. 52 Chevrolet in the lead draft before gaining six spots in the last two laps to finish in the fifth position.
The result was quickly picked up by FOX Sports - who also broadcasted a special feature on Gase and his mother the same weekend - with a live post-race interview. Michael Waltrip and Jeff Gordon both called the finish a great story on air while Dale Earnhardt, Jr. later tweeted "Top 5 finish for one of my hero’s @MeansRacing52 and his driver @JoeyGaseRacing."
2015 was not Gase's first try at 'Dega as he made his first start at the superspeedway in 2014. That day, Gase led the race for a lap before driving to an 11th-place finish, just inches shy of a top 10.
To join Sparks Energy Inc., Donate Life Alabama and Alabama Organ Center [AOC] will return as sponsor for the 300-mile event. “We are also thrilled to be teaming up with AOC and Donate Life Alabama once again in Talladega. Organ, eye, and tissue donation is something that is very close to my heart and I hope we can help raise some more awareness to ultimately save many more lives”.
The Alabama Organ Center [AOC] is dedicated to providing a better quality of life for those people who require organ or tissue transplants, while respecting the families who share the gift of life. AOC will continue to dedicate itself to providing a better quality of life for those people who require organ and tissue transplantation, while respecting those families who share.
Gase and the No. 52 team have a powerful and unique connection to organ donation as Gase's late mother was a donor herself. Gase, 23, has continued to be a large advocate for organ and tissue donation throughout his NASCAR career.
