McDowell Returns to Bristol, Looks to Continue Improvement

After a weekend off, Michael McDowell will look to continue the momentum going into Bristol. A rather successful 2016 so far could be capped off at Bristol like it has in the past. McDowell has been rather consistent at Bristol and will look to beat the best finish made in 2014 in the Irwin Tools Night Race where McDowell finished 18th. McDowell's best Qualifying attempt in 2015 came at Bristol in the Food City 500. McDowell would have to start from the rear though after an electrical fire. McDowell has been one of the most consistent Chevrolet's out there this season and I think that when it comes to Bristol and Chevrolet for McDowell, good things could happen. So far in 2016 McDowell has raced in 6 of the 7 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Races with a best finish of 15th at Daytona in the Daytona 500. McDowell shares the #95 this season with Ty Dillon but McDowell is the primary driver of the Chevrolet SS. Ty's next race will be at Kansas and then Kentucky. Ty Dillon will then end his 2016 Campaign behind the wheel of the #95 at Dover in October. That is the current schedule for Ty Dillon. McDowell will race
the next 3 races, then will be off at Kansas. He is speculated to return at Dover in May. McDowell is not only campaigning for a full time season in 2016, he is also working on the Fan Vote for the 2016 All Star Race! McDowell will look to continue his success at Bristol and will look to land that #95 in another Top 15 finish if not more. (Koelle,2016)
