Kevin Harvick Inches Carl Edwards for 8th Phoenix Win!

Kevin Harvick cut it close to get his 8th win at the Phoenix International Raceway when Carl Edwards went for the win and made our 2nd photo finish in the last 4 races. Kevin Harvick narrowly beat Carl Edwards to the line by 0.010 seconds to win Sunday's Sprint Cup Series race at Phoenix International Raceway. Denny Hamlin and Kyle Busch helped give Joe Gibbs Racing a 2,3,4 finish. Dale Earnhardt Jr. who led many laps today rounded out the Top 5.

The NASCAR News Source Driver(s) of The Week

Today's race was what every fan wants to see and brings up back finishes from the races from 2001-2006 and helps keep the fans on the edge of their seats, If that late race caution had not came out I feel that neither of these drivers would have won and JR Nation would have been celebrating. The late race caution came out and relegated Jr to a 5th place finish. The finish with a .010 seconds was the 6th closest race in NASCAR History and Closest in the history of Phoenix. For that ending I will award to drivers the Driver of the Week award! Congratulations to Carl Edwards and Kevin Harvick for putting on one heck of a show!

Next Weekend!

As NASCAR enters the final race of the west coast swing fireworks will go off in California. Some drivers seek the spotlight while others are ready to be back on the East Coast. Spotlights will shine bright just like the drivers who will enter the Marquis Advertised Main Event of the West Coast Swings. A last lap pass has happened here in the last few years and we expect a big crowd! Punches have been thrown in the past so drivers try not to forget your Boxing Gloves.
