Austin Dillon Rockets To Auto Club Pole

Austin Dillon became the 4th different pole winner of 2016 with his lap in qualifying today. His second career pole, first pole was in the Daytona 500 in 2014. Dillon posted a 38.200 lap tying the track record that Brad Keselowski did in the first round. Kevin Harvick, Denny Hamlin, Ryan Newman, and Carl Edwards rounded out the Top 5 for qualifying. Last year's Auto Club Speedway Pole Winner Kurt Busch failed to make the final round for the first time in 2016. Since only 39 cars were entered everyone made the race.
