Denny Hamlin Wins the Demolition Derby Called the Sprint Unlimited

In a rather eventful Demolition Derby race at the Daytona International Speedway, Denny Hamlin took home his third Sprint Unlimited Victory of his career in overtime.
In a race filled with Crashes and great racing NASCAR's return sends fans on their feet in an eventful 75 lap Exhibition Shootout. Denny Hamlin Battled late in the race with Joey Logano, Brad Keselowski, and Teammate Carl Edwards. When the Checkered and Yellow Flag flew only four cars out of the 25 were left that had not had damage. NASCAR's newest Overtime Rule was put to the test at the end when toward the rear of the field had a chain reaction wreck involving Race Dominator Brad Keselowski, who had a very eventful night while staying in contention for the win. Brian Vickers, who was making his NASCAR Sprint Cup Series return, was involved in a Hard hit that sent him into the outside wall where he was sandwiched with Kevin Harvick.

Putting on a smoke show for the fans in attendance, Denny Hamlin also can celebrate becoming the first Driver of The Week for 2016. Denny overcame early race trouble to land himself in Victory Lane Saturday Night. Denny knows how to win this Unlimited race as he has won it 3 years in his career. Now he will look to win his first Daytona 500 this Sunday. We would like to congratulate Denny on becoming the first Driver of the Week Honors of 2016!
