Bowers to Chase SEST Championship in 2016

COLUMBUS, Ohio (Feb. 4, 2016) – Ricky Bowers will be returning to the Southeast Super Truck Series (SEST) for the 2016 season, marking his second year in the series.
“We are very excited to announce that we will be returning to the series,” Bowers said. “We finished strong in 2015 and hope to continue building off that momentum as we enter the 2016 season and chase the 2016 championship.”
Bowers had a very successful 2015 SEST season finishing fifth overall in points and winning the Rookie of the Year Award. Bowers ended the year with one pole, four top fives, and ten top 10 finishes.
“Ricky is coming off a great year with a lot of great accolades to be proud of,” said Tonya McCallister, owner of MPM Marketing. “As he sets his sights on the championship, look for Ricky to continue to perform at the level we all have seen him compete at from the 2015 season as he returns in the number 61 Leicht Motorsports Truck.”
“Ricky is a determined young man with a great deal of talent and we are thrilled to have Ricky back in our truck for the 2016 season,” said truck owner and crew chief, Eugene Leicht. “With one full season behind us, we look to take the knowledge gained last year and compete for wins.”
The 2016 Southeast Super Truck Series season will consist of 12 point races and two non-point events. The first championship points race will be at Tri-County Motor Speedway in Hudson, N.C., on March 26.  Come out and support Ricky Bowers Racing as he chases a championship.
