The Road To Daytona Begins for Blake Akridge

The 2.5 mile Daytona International Speedway was a little different from the Go Kart Tracks in Georgia that Blake Akridge has raced on over his career behind the wheel. Despite not  turning a lap around the Daytona International Speedway he would met many people around the ARCA Racing Series Garage while learning the ropes. Drivers Sean Corr and Kyle Lockrow made Blake feel a little better and more at home in the ARCA Racing Garage as if he needed any help. Blake looked like a kid in a candy shop when he walked into the garage and I honnestly think that feeling will never go away for Blake. Blake look's to be feeling confident heading into 2016 as his test track with A2 Motorsports was
revealed earlier this weekend and that track will be where Blake will seek his first certification from ARCA Racing officials to race on tracks like the Kentucky Speedway where Blake will make his ARCA Racing testing Debut at Kentucky Speedway in September!
Blake got along very well with ARCA Racing Series veteran Sean Corr who had a very successful run with Empire Racing Saturday before a blown tire ended the teams test for that car early. Kyle Lockrow who was testing with Hamilton Hughes Racing took time with Blake while answering any questions he had, the team gave Blake a head set so he could listen in on another drivers point of view while behind the wheel of the #62 Car on the high banks at Daytona. Blake surely learned many things and met many people with the ARCA Racing Series and I am absolutely sure the racer from Georgia will add his name to a legacy of famous drivers from that great state which includes Chase and Bill Elliott, Reed Sorenson, and David Ragan. The team looks primed and ready for The Road Of Daytona where the primary goal will to have Blake in the Car come the 2017 Lucas Oil 200 in Daytona. The Road To Daytona begins for this Rookie and it will be one heck of a ride to follow. Be sure to stay tuned to The NASCAR News Source for more information from this driver and team in the Near Future. (Koelle,2016)
