Premium Motorsports Acquires Hillman Racing Team and Equipment

In 2016 a new team will arise as Premium Motorsports has purchased assets from Hillman Racing which was the #40 team in 2015 with Landon Cassill behind the wheel. Premium will have Mike Hillman running the show as the Head of the team, while Mark Hillman will become the newest crew chief for Premium Motorsports. Along with most of the staff from the #40 team that competed in the 2015 season will join the Premium Motorsports in 2016. Jay Robinson plans to field one full-time Cup car, and one part-time Cup car next year. In 2015 Premium Motorsports ran two cars at the beginning of the season and in the later part acquired Phil Parsons Racing. They ran the 62 and 98 full time in 2015 despite having the 62 car miss some races due to rain outs or not being fast enough to make the Top 35 in points. Reed Sorenson, Timmy Hill, Ryan Preece, and Josh Wise all made starts for Premium Motorsports in 2015. Premium also had a truck full time in the NCWTS with drivers Wendell
Chavous and Timmy Hill. The team Premium is taking is Hillman Racing. In 2015 Landon Cassill drove the car. With support from Snap Fitness and CRC Break Cleaners. We are unaware at this moment on if Landon will be the driver of the one full time ride for Premium or if he will run for JD Motorsports full time in 2016 like he did in 2015. We do know that Premium will have one charter which will save Hillman Motorsports in the long run or if the Charter System gets erased from History. (Koelle, 2016)
