GMS Racing Announces 2016 Truck Series Driver Lineup

GMS Racing announced their driver lineup for 2016. After a very successful season in 2015 GMS has 2 brand new drivers to the truck team while another returns to the team. In 2015 GMS Racing had a combination of multiple drivers including Austin Dillon getting the teams' first win at New Hampshire. No cup regulars are currently scheduled to be in the truck which along with Brad Keselowski Racing and Kyle Busch Motorsports are getting away from having cup regulars in trucks and getting the younger guys in them.
GMS Racing Veteran Spencer Gallagher will returns to the team for a 3rd season, his 2nd full NCWTS Season. Spencer was on the verge of getting his first NASCAR Camping World Truck Series win this season at Talladega before being in a late race crash with John Wes Townley. He has had 2 Top 5's and 7 Top 10's while being at GMS Racing. Spencer will be the Team Veteran but when it comes to experience in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series his new teammate has all that and the T-Shirt.
That new teammate is none other than series veteran Johnny Sauter. Johnny has been with ThorSport Racing since 2009 where he got his first win in the Truck Series. From 2009 to 2014 Johnny turned at least one victory in every season at ThorSport. In 2015 that streak came to an end as did Johnny Sauter's career at ThorSport. Teammate Matt Crafton turned 2015 into a steller season until the end. Matt Crafton along with Cameron Hayley are speculated to return to ThorSport in 2016. Johnny Sauter will look to lead GMS Motorsports to their first championship along with his first
championship. Johnny will certainly be the veteran that GMS will need and he will help these 2 while helping himself.
2015 ARCA Racing Series Champion Grant Enfinger will make the move up to the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series in 2016. Many fans have enjoyed watching Grants' unique racing style over the past in the ARCA Racing Series. I am ultimately excited to see Grant in the Truck Series as the young guns keep coming and in a few years we will have a great quality sport. We Wish GMS Racing the best as they move into 2016!(Koelle, 2015)
