Build It and They Will Come - What Joe Gibbs Racing Can Become

Two Championships, 31 Wins, and a ton of talent in 2015 is what made Joe Gibbs Racing one of the Top Teams if not the Top Team in NASCAR. Their Cup team consists of Matt Kenseth, Carl Edwards, Denny Hamlin, and 2015 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Champion Kyle Busch. Their Xfinity Series team in 2015 consisted of many different talented drivers which also had Kenny Wallace in the #20 for his final NASCAR Start. Joe Gibbs Racing is also affiliated with Kyle Busch Motorsports which had Erik Jones win his first career championship win!
When it comes to Joe Gibbs Racing they are not running out of talent. They are one team that the future of the team is looking very promising. The issue that is with JGR is that they are running out of seats for new talent. With Erik Jones possibly ready by 2017 or 18' to move up to Cup, someone in the cup series will need to retire in the near future, Matt Kenseth is the oldest out there and well it's been kind of a trend recently with the older drivers. Now with Carl Edwards and Matt Kenseth both being former Roush Fenway Racing Teammates, could Joe Gibbs Racing take some tips from Roush in getting a team to run its rookies in like RFR is doing with Chris Buescher and FRM? With Furniture Row Racing joining Joe Gibbs Racing with affiliated support could we see Erik Jones and Martin Truex Jr. being teammates in as early as 2017? Only time will tell. That would be a very unbeatable team and the support system will be
about like Wood Brothers and Leavine Family Racing's affiliation with Team Penske. (Koelle, 2015)
