Joey Logano vs. Matt Kenseth, New Chase Format Helping NASCAR In the Long Run

The Fans wanted Racing and well with this new chase format they get it. Rivalries we have one and its really helping people tune into NASCAR each and every weekend. The fans who said they would stop watching NASCAR After the Controversy at Talladega, well their are very few of those left who are not watching.
With Joey Logano going into a must win situation this weekend in Phoenix if Logano does not win nor continue not only will the most dominant car of 2015 be out of the Championship but a certain driver will have a bigger target on his back come Homestead. If Logano misses
the chase expect Matt Kenseths' Homecoming to be like a WWE Return, The Real Question is whether or not Joey will be the better man or seek revenge on Matt Kenseth for making him lose the Championship. This is certainly one thing that has helped get Homestead to sell out and If Joey misses the chase keep an eye out on the #22 and #20.
Okay if you have been around NASCAR this season you will know that Jeff Gordon is racing his last season in NASCAR and with his victory at Martinsville "The Drive For Five is Still Alive" as Jeff enters his final 2 races fans certainly will attend Phoenix to see Jeff Race his final Race at a Track Gordon has done well at in the past while many will flock to Homestead in anticipation of Jeff winning his 5th and Final NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Championship which I'm sure many want to see.
Many will tune in to see on Sunday to see who makes the Chase and Who will race against Gordon. I honestly predict it to be Ford Performance Horsepower vs. Hendrick Motorsports Horsepower with Jeff Gordon and Joey Logano moving on with wins while Brad Keselowski and Kevin Harvick moving on with Points. I could also see Martin Truex Jr in Kevin Harvicks' place come Homestead but Harvick has basically been unbeatable at Phoenix but as they say in many popular sports everyone can be beat at home. Look for Sunday's race to be another awesome race much like Dover and Talladega was and be sure to tune in Sunday on NBC! (Koelle, 2015)

  1. Disagree. The TV ratings have no improved and what we're getting is not racing but an ever-deteriorating level of professionalism, and the concept of a champion decided in an artificial reracking of points can never be legitimate.

The day the drivers grow up and become real professionals and we start breaking 40 lead changes a race as something close to the norm is when the sport will have gotten its true identity back
