Joey Gase - Contributing Great Finishes (Xfinity Series Driver Spotlight)

Ceder Rapids native Joey Gase is this week's driver spotlight as we recap Joey's 2015 season. Joey has seen the highs and the lows all in one season yet they continue to push on as if nothing bad happens. Joey Gase drives the no.52 in the Xfinity Series for Jimmy Means Racing and the no. 32 part time in the Sprint Cup Series for Go Green Racing. Joey has been in NASCAR for 5 years now and is looked at by many fans as the one driver who deserves to drive in better funded equipment.
When it comes to drivers who have had a very successful 2015 look no further than Joey Gase. Joey has raced one race in the Sprint Cup Series this year for Go Green Racing which will probably be his last season behind the wheel of the 32 because Jeffery Earnhardt and Bobby Labonte will share that ride in 2016 leaving Gase and others out of a ride in the Sprint Cup Series. Despite that news Joey Gase isn't losing his smile. Joey missed Texas but is a lock for this weekend's race in Phoenix. Joey finished an impressive 38th at Kansas while finishing 43rd in Richmond a few weeks before. Still Joey never can be seen without a smile on his face and he really enjoys going to hospitals and putting that same smile he expresses to good work helping sick kids have a reason to smile and never give up.
Earlier this season when the NASCAR Xfinity Series returned to the Talladega Superspeedway Joey Gase and Jimmy Means Racing pushed and fought their way to the front and stayed there sending Joey Gase home in 5th with his first career top 5! In honor of it and with Jimmy Means being an Alabama Gang Member The Talladega Superspeedway left the scoring pylon in the center of the track with a simple 52 in the 5th place spot telling Jimmy way to go!
