Dale Earnhardt Jr. Revenges NASCAR's Talladega Finish At Phoenix En Route to Phoenix Victory Lane!

After Getting the Wrong End of The Stick at the Last Elimination Event in Talladega Dale Earnhardt Jr. got the right end this weekend. With rain all in the area of the Phoenix International Raceway Dale was in the right place at the right time. Kevin Harvick, Joey Logano, Kyle Busch, and Jimmie Johnson rounded out the Top 5.
Shocking Eliminations with Carl Edwards, Kurt Busch, Joey Logano, and Brad Keselowski were unable to complete the points hunt and move on to Homestead.

Rainy Days For Early Title Contenders

Early Title Contenders were eliminated from the chase due to time running out to get points or the win in Joey Logano's case.
After numerous wins, Rain ended the Logano Reign and Brad Keselowski also was eliminated but when it comes to a phenomenal season Team Penske certainly has nothing to be ashamed of. As Joey said "We still have Homestead to go and win like we have done!"
Kurt Busch and Carl Edwards fell into the slump during the race and ended their championship hunt.

NASCAR News Source Quote Of The Week

A New Add to the Race Update will have a Quote said from earlier in the season that fits today's race!
This Weeks is Denny Hamlins' Quote from Martinsville after Matt Kenseth wrecked Joey Logano.

"I just can't get over what this has come to. Just How (Expletive) up it is.
How do you really crown a champion now? It's just the wild, wild, west."

With the ending of the Final Elimination Race not exactly getting the checkered flag. Drivers who were making their way up to were declined of that opportunity. I feel that drivers like Carl Edwards and Kurt Busch along with Brad Keselowski and Joey Logano were cheated out of a chance at the final four because of an unfortunate event that mother nature caused. 8 drivers should enter Homestead now in my opinion.

NASCAR News Source Driver Of The Week

Kurt Busch was black flagged on the initial restart when he was ahead of leader Jimmie Johnson at the line. Kurt got many breaks over the night and when it came to the restart that never happened he was 7th and looking to continue on to the next round. Despite missing the Chase I applaud Kurt for his impressive showing in the chase compared to 2014. We congratulate Kurt Busch on becoming the newest Driver Of The Week!
Drivers you have one week left to become the NASCAR News Source Driver of the Week in 2015! Impress me next week and your name will land as the final NASCAR News Source Driver of the Week in 2015.
