Richard Petty Motorsports To Remain With Ford Through 2016

Richard Petty Motorsports officials revealed today that they would continue to run the Ford Fusions in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and run Ford Mustangs in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. Roush Yates Engines will be producing the Engines raced each week for Richard Petty Motorsports as they do for The rest of the Ford teams in all 3 major series.
Brian Moffitt, CEO of Richard Petty Motorsports also announced that Aric Almirola would be returning to the famed #43 in 2016 with Support from Smithfield Farms in 29 Races. Aric has had a very good season this year despite missing the Chase and he continues to impress me on and off the track! We wish Aric and his whole team luck in the upcoming races!

One uncertainty is who will be driving the #9 Car for Richard Petty Racing. Sam Hornish Jr. has had a dissapointing season to say the least with his best finish coming at Talladega with a 6th place finish. With only 3 Top 10's in 29 races with NO TOP 5 finishes. Maybe Sam is just going through the Freshman blues I don't know. But I really want to see that #9 Car in the Top 5 More often. (Koelle, 2015)
