  • New Hampshire Motor Speedway Hosts inaugural race, Rusty Wallace takes the Victory!
  • Dale Earnhardt Sr. wins Championship in Atlanta while buddy Rusty Wallace wins the Race. The famous polish victory lap was done by both. Rusty carrying a Davey Allison flag and Dale Earnhardt Sr. carrying a Alan Kulwicki flag honoring both drivers.
