Throwback Thursday - 2011 Bucyrus 200 presented by Menards


In 2011 The NASCAR Nationwide Series (Now Xfinity Series) visited the Road America Road course for the 2nd time.

Michael McDowell would drive for Joe Gibbs Racing for the 2nd time in 2011. McDowell would land the no.18 Pizza Ranch Toyota Camry on the pole position for his first career pole and would lead 30 of the races 57 laps.
Other drivers who lead included Jacques Villeneuve, Ron Fellows, Mike Wallace, Brian Scott and a couple of other drivers but Reed Sorenson would lead the 1 lap that counted. Yes Reed only lead 1 lap on his way to Road America Glory! The Peachtree City driver would win the Bucyrus 200 presented by Menards! His first win since 2007 and his 4th win of his NASCAR Nationwide (Xfinity) Series Career!
