Sam Hornish Jr has gained a new sponsor for this weekends race in Michigan. Transportation Impact, a current season-long associate partner of Richard Petty Motorsports and the #9 Ford driven by Sam Hornish Jr., will step up to be the primary partner of Hornish Jr. and the #9 team this weekend at the Michigan International Speedway for Sunday's 400-mile event. Transportation Impact is a privately held parcel spend management firm that helps its clients reduce shipping costs through small package negotiation and parcel auditing services. The company has partnered with RPM and the Petty Family Foundation over the past several years. The #9 Transportation Impact Ford will also have associate logos of Medallion Bank, Alfageen and General RV Center on the car this weekend. (Koelle, 2015)
