Joey Logano Is In Full Chase Form! Winning at Bristol!


43 Gladiators entered the last great coliseum; 1 Gladiator walked out victorious and his name is Joey Logano. In the 3rd to last race before the chase Joey Logoano capitalized and took yet another win his 3rd of 2015! 


Race Recap!

At the beginning of the race Michael Anett lost an engine ending his night early and placing him 43rd on the grid. At the beginning of the race on track Three wide racing, lapped cars, and Denny Hamlin have all been common factors. At lap 41 the 27 of Paul Menard got loose but had no issues keeping it under power and the race under green! At lap 51 the caution came out for debris in turn 3 which gave teams their first shots at adjusting their chariots. The green came back out at lap 57 and the action intensified! At lap 113 Matt Kenseth had looked to have yet another dominating car until his engine let go. Matt would finish 42nd at a track he won at in March. At lap 125 Kyle Larson lost a tire and the caution would come out once again. We go back to green at lap 132 but not before Kevin Harvick has to go back to the back for having to many men over the wall. AJ Almindingers' weekend was yet another dissapointing weekend and went from bad to worse when he was spun making contact with the inside wall. At lap 150 the field came back to green with Denny Hamlin leading in A green flag run that would last another 100 laps. Joey Logano would lead At lap 250 (Halfway) when the caution flew once again for debris. At lap 254 the green flag would be displayed once again. At lap 300 Kyle Busch would lead with 200 laps to go. Kyle won the Xfinity Race last night at this lap. At lap 354 Carl Edwards had a flat tire placing him 2 laps down and out of contention until the end. At lap 358 Kyle Larsons' night would come to an abrupt end when he made hard contact with the outside wall for the second time of the night. At lap 367 the 22 of Logano would once again be out front.On lap 371 Jimmie Johnson, Clint Bowyer and David Ragan would attempt 3 wide but would send Ragan to the inside wall and Bowyer spinning. MWR did not need this tonight but will overcome in 2 weeks at Darlington! At lap 378 The green would be displayed once again, 383 saw 17 spin and hit the outside wall head on. At lap 380 with almost 100 to go the green flew once again. With 100 to go Joey Logoano would lead once again in what would look like a reservation at Victory Lane! Debris would bring out the final caution of the night! At lap 437 the Blanco Deauce would lead them to green but he'd fall back leaving it to Kevin Harvick and Joey Logoano to Duel it out! With 50 to go Joey was in the lead with Harvick charging in pursuit. White flag flew and Kevin had one more chance but he did not take the lead and ended in 2nd for the 10th time of 2015.

NASCAR Source Driver Of The Week

Clint Bowyer Deserves this award this week! He raced hard all night long and despite a crash in the early stages he still finished 5th putting himself into the chase for now at least. Congrats Clint!

I want to thank Bristol Motor Speedway for giving me the opportunity for going into the garage and getting everything I could!
